We use fresh produce and halal meats to prepare all of our soups sandwiches and salads from scratch. We take the time to make our own pesto, green goddess, hummus and other dressings and spreads from simple unprocessed ingredients. We're proud to offer a diverse menu including vegan, vegetarian and meat options. Our baked offerings include chocolate chip cookies, muffins and breakfast bars

We use organic, fairly traded loose-leaf teas from Rishi Tea Company and our coffee is ethically sourced by Metropolis Coffee Roasters (we love them!) Our pour-over method of brewing coffee emerged from the slow-food movement and relies heavily on watchful brewing of each cup. It takes 24 hours to cold filter our iced coffee and our chai is made from an original house blend of spices. We squeeze our own OJ and lemonade and our bottled drinks use cane syrup instead of processed sugar.

We source our sandwich bread from locally-owned businesses that share Backstory’s concern for fresh, quality ingredients.
